Geneva Women’s Club’s Eight Core Charities

About CASA Kane County:
CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASA Kane County is a volunteer driven nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for children in foster care who have experienced neglect. Volunteers (CASA's) are specially trained and appointed by the juvenile court to serve as a consistent, caring voice for each child, working with the courts, caregivers, and social-service providers to help ensure children land in safe, permanent homes and have the support they need to heal and thrive.

Why it Matters:
Children in foster care often face uncertainty and instability. Having a dedicated CASA volunteer by their side can make a critical difference, helping make sure their needs are seen and prioritized, and that judges have a full picture of their home life, well being, and future needs when making decisions for them.

How the Geneva Women's Club Supports CASA Kane County:
The Geneva Women's Club supports CASA through hands on giving, donations, and volunteer involvement. Our club regularly contributes essential items for children and families, supports seasonal giving initiatives, and we volunteer at fundraising events. Through these efforts the Geneva Women's Club helps provide comfort and care to children during critical moments in their lives. In recent years, the Geneva Women's Club has supported CASA through toy donations for their Holiday Giving Program, contributions of diaper bags filled with essential baby items, volunteer efforts at their annual gala and other ongoing efforts.
