Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

CASA Kane County is a nonprofit volunteer organization that advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the Juvenile Court System.

Fox Valley Hands of Hope

Fox Valley Hands of Hope is the new name for the volunteer-drive, nonprofit organization previously known as Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice. The name more closely aligns to the services the organization provides. It reflects a new strategic direction to expand services that provide hope for those experiencing grief while continuing to provide supportive care to those who are dealing with life-threatening illnesses.

 

Fox Valley Hands of Hope is a community-funded organization that has been dedicated to providing practical, spiritual, and emotional support to individuals with life-threatening and terminal illnesses, as well as grieving persons and their families since 1981. All care is available without charge regardless of age, diagnosis, prognosis, income eligibility, or race. This organization has served more than 22,000 clients and their families in the greater Fox Valley area.

 

The programs and services available at Fox Valley Hands of Hope include:

• Hospice care • Support groups • Adult bereavement services • Child and young adult bereavement services

Lazarus House

 

Lazarus House is located in St. Charles and serves men, women and children connected to the school districts of St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia, and western rural Kane County who are homeless or at risk by providing safe shelter, food, and support services. Lazarus House is an Emergency Shelter and the only transitional housing program in the Tri-Cities.

 

Lazarus House Ministries helps head of households and individuals living in poverty regain their dignity and become self sufficient members of our community by offering emergency shelter, food, and clothing to people in crisis and then providing transitional housing, health services, education, and work preparation to permanently break the cycle of poverty.

Mutual Ground Inc.

 

 

Mutual Ground, located in Aurora, IL, was founded in 1975, providing services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families. Mutual Ground is one of the largest and oldest domestic violence shelters in the state. All services are victim-centered and focus on advocacy that empowers each individual to make her/his own decisions.
All services are offered free of charge

TriCity Family Services

 

TriCity Family Services is a private, nonprofit human services agency serving the community members and organizations of central Kane County. The agency is dedicated to strengthening people and building community through the provision of quality and affordable counseling, youth crisis intervention, prevention and early intervention services that promote sound mental health and effective family functioning. As a community agency, TriCity Family Services promotes service excellence, honesty, hope, personal responsibility and respect for others.

Tri City Health Partnership

 

Tri City Health Partnership, located in St. Charles, IL, provides quality healthcare in an environment of mutual respect to those members of the community who are without medical benefits. We promote better life choices through education and preventative care to foster the growth of the whole individual.

Tri City Health Partnership is staffed by dedicated physicians, nurses, and other local area health professionals, who all volunteer their time to provide quality care to the community. Their services are for low-income residents of central Kane County who do not have Medicare, Medicaid/Public Aid, or who are underinsured.

Living Well Cancer Resource Center

 

Living Well serves as a vital component to comprehensive cancer care and stands as a gathering place that provides comfort and community to anyone experiencing the effects of cancer. They help participants feel less alone, better informed, more hopeful and empowered to take on the challenge of facing cancer by participating in programs and services offered by Living Well. Each spring, Geneva Women’s Club participates in Living Well’s annual Bridge Walk.

Geneva Families & School District

 

Geneva elementary schools, middle schools and Geneva High School have needs for students and their families. These needs include school supplies at the beginning of the year, snacks and drinks for fueling stations, families in-need during the holidays, and gift cards for miscellaneous items. In additions, high school students are always looking for “give hours.”
